A couple of years ago, EviCore by Evernorth® Laboratory Management introduced Lab SmartSearch to streamline the medical necessity review process. This tool helps requesters quickly select the appropriate test from EviCore’s database and automatically populates key details, including performing lab and procedure codes.
During the coming months, enhancements will become available as we continue to improve the SmartSearch platform features for a more efficient case submission process. For instance, the platform will now allow users to search for tests using the name provided by the performing laboratory, which is information typically found on the test requisition form.
