Ways to Expedite Chemotherapy and Supportive Drug Requests

April 15, 2025

If chemotherapy and supportive drug requests have been made online via the web portal and are not immediately approved, it usually means we need more information.

To expedite the process, do the following:

  1. Make sure you’ve uploaded all relevant documents, including these:
    • Records, such as patient history, including diagnosis, cancer stage, prior treatments and proposed therapy.
    • Tests, such as pathology reports, recent relevant labs or imaging, and next-generation sequencing (NGS), if applicable.
    • Regimen, including drug names with J codes and full dosing details, if prompted.
  2. Review the hold or non-certification letter we sent to your office and submit the requested information. If you receive a request for clarification, please be sure to read it carefully, as it will tell you what our team needs to complete the case.
  3. Providers always have the option to request a peer-to-peer call, but providing all relevant case information in the initial request will greatly enhance care turnaround times and reduce the need for such calls.

How are we doing?
