EviCore Laboratory Management enhanced the process of requesting prior authorizations a couple of years ago. Lab SmartSearch was designed to make it easier for the requester to select the test they want reviewed from EviCore’s test database and auto-populate key information, such as the performing lab and the procedure codes. We’ve since made further improvements and scheduled a SmartSearch relaunch for April 2025. This update includes a more efficient case-submission process that involves searching for the test as named by the laboratory, information easily found on the Test Requisition Form, if available.
