To help streamline the authorization process for therapies within the EviCore by Evernorth® system, we’ve created a new Specialized Therapy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) reference sheet. The document includes many valuable tips and tricks as well as answers to several common questions, including:

  • Why does EviCore by Evernorth® recommend that providers initiate prior authorization via its web portal?
  • When I create a case on the web, why am I asked if the request is for routine care?
  • What clinical information do I need to submit?
  • What guidelines does EviCore by Evernorth® use to render medical necessity determinations?
